WhatsApp API alternatives compared
Several services link the WhatsApp number you already use by QR code and give your system an API to it. Threadwire is one of them. This page compares seven others with Threadwire on the points that decide most choices: price, how a number is kept safe, and what comes with the API.
A number linked by QR code is unofficial access on every one of them, Threadwire included. WhatsApp's terms do not allow unofficial or automated access, so WhatsApp can restrict or ban a number linked this way. 2Chat and Green-API also sell Meta's official API as a separate route. WhatsApp API without Meta approval says what that means.

What makes Threadwire different
- Protection you cannot switch off. Every message is paced, new people are limited each day, a new number warms up, and new chats slow down, then pause, at WhatsApp's own warnings. You can make the rules stricter, never looser than the safe floor. How Threadwire keeps your number safe has the figures.
- More than an API. A team inbox, auto-replies, a menu of choices, an AI agent with your own AI key, and WhatsApp OTP by link. Pricing says what each plan includes.
- Arabic throughout. The panel, the home page and the API guides read in Arabic as well as English.
What Threadwire does not do
- It does not send to many new people a day. If you need that, a linked number is the wrong tool on any service: take Meta's official API.
- It has no message buttons or templates.
- It does not offer Meta's official API today.
Official API or a linked number? helps you choose between the two routes.
