Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you, the business using Threadwire, and TriTech Solutions of Cairo, Egypt ("we", "us"). By using Threadwire (the API, your panel, or a number you link) you agree to them, and to our Acceptable Use Policy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
1. What Threadwire is
Threadwire connects a WhatsApp number you use to your own systems. You link the number by scanning a QR code, as a linked device, the same way as WhatsApp Web. You then send and receive messages through our API, and we send events such as replies and delivery updates to your webhook.
Once a number is linked, Threadwire sees every one-to-one chat on it, including messages typed on the phone itself, and records them for you. Link a number used only for your business, not a personal one.
Threadwire is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta, and it does not use the official WhatsApp Business Platform.
2. WhatsApp's rules, and the risk to your number
- Your number stays yours, and stays subject to WhatsApp's own terms and policies.
- WhatsApp's terms do not allow unofficial or automated access to WhatsApp, which is what any service that links a number as a device provides, Threadwire included. By using Threadwire you accept the risk that WhatsApp restricts or bans a number for it.
- WhatsApp can restrict or ban any number at any time, for reasons it does not always give. Messaging people who did not expect to hear from you is the most common cause.
- Threadwire paces and limits sending to lower that risk, as described in the API reference. To do so it may delay, hold or refuse messages, and pause first messages to new people. Messages it refuses say why.
- We cannot promise that a number will not be restricted or banned, and we are not responsible if it is.
3. Your account
- You can open an account yourself, with a free trial of a plan for the days shown when you sign up, or we open one for you. One trial per business: opening more accounts to get more trials is not allowed. When the trial ends, the account pauses until you pay; nothing is charged automatically. You are responsible for the people you invite to your team, and for everything done with your account and your API keys.
- Keep your API keys and webhook signing secret private. If you think one has leaked, revoke or replace it in your panel straight away.
- Tell us at [email protected] as soon as you think your account has been misused.
4. Your messages and data
- The messages and files you send and receive are yours. You allow us to handle them only to run Threadwire for you.
- You are responsible for what you send, and for having a lawful basis, including any consent that is needed, to message the people you message.
- If you turn on the AI agent, it answers with your own Anthropic or OpenAI account, under that provider's terms: its costs are yours, and you are responsible for what it answers on your behalf, as for any message you send. We pass it a chat's recent messages and your business information only to write each answer.
- We keep messages and their files for 30 days and then delete them, so keep your own copy from the webhooks. The Privacy Policy says what else we keep, and for how long.
5. Plans and payment
- Your plan sets how many numbers you may link, its monthly price and, where a plan has any, how much you may use, as your Billing page shows. Taxes that apply are added.
- Prices are in US dollars. You pay in Egyptian pounds, at the exchange rate your Billing page shows when you pay, rounded up to the nearest 5 pounds, by transfer or, where your Billing page offers it, by card. A card is charged only when you pay with it, never automatically.
- Fees are due in advance, for one month or more at a time. Paying 3, 6 or 12 months at once costs less, at the discount shown when you pay; fees paid ahead are not refunded except where the law requires it.
- A late payment: your account keeps running for 7 days after the due date, and a payment in those days covers the period from the due date. After that it is suspended until you pay, and the new period starts on the day you pay.
- We may change our prices with at least 30 days' notice. A change applies from your next payment.
- If you cancel, Threadwire keeps running until the end of the period you have paid for. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
6. Suspension
We may suspend your account if you break these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if fees are overdue, or if your use puts our service, other customers or anyone's number at risk. While suspended, your API answers with the reason, messages waiting to go out fail with it, and webhook events are kept (for up to 30 days) rather than delivered. Your numbers stay linked. We tell you why in your panel and in the API, and we lift the suspension once the reason is resolved.
7. Availability and changes
- We work to keep Threadwire running and to fix problems quickly, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors.
- WhatsApp can change how linked devices work at any time. That can stop a feature working until we adapt it.
- We may change or improve Threadwire. We will tell you in advance about any change that significantly reduces what you get.
8. Ending
You may stop using Threadwire at any time by telling us. We may end these terms with 30 days' notice, or straight away if you seriously or repeatedly break them. When your account closes, we unlink your numbers and delete your data as the Privacy Policy describes.
9. Liability
- Threadwire is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we give no promises about it beyond those in these terms.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or revenue, lost data, or a number being restricted or banned by WhatsApp.
- Our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
10. Claims about your messages
You will cover us against claims by others that arise from messages you send through Threadwire, or from your breaking these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will tell you about changes that affect you at least 30 days before they apply, by email or in your panel. If you keep using Threadwire after that, you accept them.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
